Microphones, Bishop Allen, Golden Boots & Paleo Collaborate with a 1940's Wire Recorder PIAPTK - 070
This record has been a LONG time in the making. I found a 1940's Webster Wire Recorder at thrift store, shortly after I started PIAPTK and long before I ever bought my first record lathes. I had the idea to record an LP of artists recorded directly to the Wire Recorder. Unfortunately, keeping the thing in working order turned out to be a very big ordeal, and I gave up after recording four bands; Microphones (Phil Elverum (Mount Eerie) recording a song he wrote under the "Microphones" moniker), Golden Boots, Bishop Allen, and Paleo (and a secret guest who is included as a hidden track and cannot be named).
This 7" is a split release between PIAPTK, Lost Sound Tapes, and Alt.Vinyl in Europe. Each label designed and printed their own covers, with a very distinct aesthetic. PIAPTK's copies come in a letterpressed jacket, Lost Sound Tapes come in a velum/transparency sleeve, and alt.vinyls come in a professionally printed foldover. All physical copies are sold out. THIS IS AVAILABLE AS MP3 DOWNLOADS ONLY!
